Dr Irina Topalova

Мrs. Irina Topalova is an Assoc. Prof. PhD at the University of Communications and Posts in Sofia, Bulgaria (since 2016), as well as at the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management (FGEEIM) at the Technical University of Sofia (since 2001), where she is a lecturer in intelligent systems, artificial intelligence and visual systems. She has specialized in cognitive systems at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany (2005 and 2010). She authored of two scientific textbooks, exercise manuals and more than 80 scientific publications in the field. She is the Head of research projects on object recognition with neural networks; also, she participates in Erasmus projects. She is the Head of Doctoral Students and Graduates and Certified Cisco Systems Expert Level instructor. Prof. Topalova is a Member of IEEE / Section "IEEE Computational Intelligence Society". She is a lover of swing, jazz and classical piano music.
